This post is a little different from the norm,

Around two weeks ago I jetsetted off to Sydney, where I attended the Beauty Directory Star Awards which is a number of awards that recognize excellence in beauty journalism and PR in Australia. The event was bright and early in the morning and we all had a great breakfast at the Pier 2 Wharf Restaurant with a gorgeous view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it was a very enjoyable experience and I’m super honoured to of been invited! Whilst I was in Sydney I also attended a Lancome event at the Park Hyatt which has a view of the Sydney Opera House, I got to learn about all the new launches for 2013 and we all had macaroons from Laudree Paris which were the best macaroons I’ve ever tasted  Another event I was able to attend was a bloggers night hosted by Platinum Media and Communications which was a blast and it was so great to meet lots of other beauty bloggers! It was held in Platinum Media’s new office building and the night finished off with a fashion parade of some of the fashion brands they handle the PR for.

A trip to Sydney wouldn’t be a trip to Sydney without stopping by the Illamasqua counter which there isn’t too many of (I have to travel quite a distance to get to my nearest one!) ever since they lowered their prices I have been in love! $28 for cream blushes and the newly released gleam is just awesome! Also picked up some new Stila, Essence, Bourjois and Max Factor goodies!
